What a wonderful book! I absolutely love how deep this story is and how well written it is. I will admit that when I began reading this book, I thought it was gonna to be along the same lines as many of the others in this line of taboo writing. But so not true! This story has a very developed story and back story. You cannot help but fall in love with these characters!
Greta can only imagine what will happen when her "stepbrother" Elec comes charging into their lives like a bull on fire! But she soon begins to realize things are NOT what they seem. Elec is so much more than just an angry teenager. A young man with so much to offer the world. How can she get through his hate and pain?
Elec cant begin to realize how deep things will get after meeting his fathers NEW family. Complete with a stepsister. He vows to make their life a living hell. Then his dad will pay for the pain he caused Elecs mom.
Things begin shifting in the house. Elec realizes things arent really as bad as he thought. Greta is making some head way. Or is she? Then THAT night happens. His last night with Greta. The last night shes supposed to ever see him again. But fate steps in.......

I have to admit I was worried going into the 2nd book. I will tell you I was wonderfully surprised! Ms. Avery, was able to continue the panty wetting factor in this book. What a wonderful continuation of Ciara and Nikolaj's adventures. This time Ciara is trying desperately to maintain some distance. Then IT begins. Nikolaj is determined to stay within Ciara's personal space so she has to face the feelings their time together has stirred up. He is determined to not let her go. At least not without a fight. And fight he will.
Ciara is completely floored by the flowers, but then he shows up out of the blue and she can feel her walls crumbling. What is a woman to do?
Again this is a MAJOR cliff hanger!

Wow! There isnt much more that needs said, but since I know people read reviews for more than that one word Ill try to do it justice.
Ciara is a piece of work... Independent, successful, intelligent, and only looking for one night stands. She is tired of the dating game. Broken hearted and trying to not stay too long she decides a break from her current recurring one nighter is in order.
Nikolaj is also not looking for a "thing" with anyone. He prefers to not have to see them longer than matching climaxes. So how is it Ciara gets under that skin of his.
Can Ciara possibly stay true to her rules and NOT let him in? What happens when he becomes persistent? He is such a constant in her thoughts.... What happens next?

Broken Survivor by Jennifer LaBelle

HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!!

Really enjoyed following Holly through many hardships and happiness. This story of ultimate survival teaches us we can not only survive but thrive in a life full of ups and downs. Murder and heartache follow this young woman through life and make the reader cry and get completely involved. The main reason for the 4* instead of 5 is all in Holly. It is really hard at times to follow her real age and maturity. The writing was good, I simply felt the heroines actions werent indicative to her life and age. I felt a little lost when it came to her behaviors and thinking.
Aside from the above it was a wonderful story. So many roller coasters full of emotion. You cant decide whether to wait for the proverbial other shoe to fall, OR think shes finally past her "cursed" luck.
