Dark but couldnt put it down, April 26, 2016

Wow, I see dark has already been said. But believe me it needs repeating. This is darker than anything I think Ive read. And Ive read some pretty twisted stuff.
Where to begin, because to be honest, Im still not exactly sure of this book. I gave it 4 because I could not put it down. Literally. This book makes BDSM (yes even dark ones) look like a stroll in the park. This book is PACKED full of violence, graphic hard core sexual depravity, action, and just about everything else you can think of. Warning this book was written for the extremely literate with a huge vocabulary. I do not just mean big fancy words. I think that combined with the content might be a little too much. As an editor I could appreciate that not only does the author use words that arent as common, but also uses them correctly. That being said I felt there was a little too much, especially in the beginning. I felt it muddled the story.
Characters.... again just WOW... OK lets see, we have Whitney, mom is a Madame, sis is a total self centered bitch, and dads a preacher! The we have Nick, and well Nick is Nick. Cant say much without giving away some spoilers. Mason and Hayden.... Hot but DEADLY. Then the whole town of "Bible Thumpers". Love this town. SO very typical of small towns. I did find it a little hard to swallow how depraved the majority of this town was....
Whitney runs from what she thinks of as her other self.... Only to run right into the lions den. Or dens. Is she really losing it? I think the story was a little TOO cryptic 3/4 of the book. Maybe a little less happening, or a little more detail.

OMFG! You might as well take your brain out and hand it to Courtney Lane to play with. This is all sorts of messed up. Just when I think she can't write any more twisted... She wraps her belt around my neck and chokes the life out of me. She manages to make me sweat, I was pacing my house, kindle in hand, turn the page, don't turn the page, turn the dang page.
